I hope they will receive emotional support/counseling from something like a victim support group, therapist, church group or something. They need to be able to talk about what happened, and process it all out, and somehow work thru the horror of it all.
This kind of violation really ticks me off. My father in law was robbed and pistol whipped in the small grocery store he owned years ago in Pasadena, and his life was never the same after that. We eventually moved him to a gated community in Phoenix so he'd feel safe.
