oh, i wanted to add, with vpi, unless you're signing up for their insurance with the routine visits option, comparing vpi and banfield is kinda comparing apples to oranges.

banfield's wellness plan covers routine and preventative visits like shots and dr. visit and provide you with a discount on medication and other non-routine services.

vpi, without the routine care option covers accidents and other unexpected health conditions. ie, non-routine stuff, dr visits when something is wrong. adding the routine care would give you added benefits for vaccinations and dr. visits although i feel like the coverage is kinda skimpy, like up to $10 reimbursed per year for an annual physical exam by a vet.

so it really depends on what you're looking to cover. routine? accidental? or both?
