Yes the synthroid helped a 100%. The synthroid replaces the hormones that her thyroid was nolonger giving her and that why she was smelly and scratches, dry skin...I also used oatmeal shampoo and conditioner on her...with in 6 weeks she was back to her normal no smell and not itchy at all..She did have to take the synthroid daily for the rest of her life tho.
