A skin test will definitely show if there is yeast or not. Be cautious if the vet recommends antibiotics to clear it up. Antibiotics will only cause the problem to get worse. You need to restore good bacteria in your baby's gut and antibiotics actually destroy the good bacteria. I suffer from yeast, my dog does as well, and I know for a fact that it is very hard to get rid of. You must follow a very strict diet and stay away from foods that promote yeast growth. The problem is that most vets don't know how to treat it effectively. I suggest doing a google search and reading up on it. I know from experience that before I was educated on yeast, I gave my Lulu the antibiotics that the vet perscribed. She got very very ill and I only noticed improvement once I started researching and treating it myself.
Best of luck.
