He has had his blood work done already and he had x-rays done recently too because he ripped open a garbage bag while DH was taking out the garbage and we were afraid he ate part of a shish-ka-bob stick. Did I mention he is mega fast? It was 8PM Sat. night , too so it was off 40 miles to the Emergency Vet. The x-ray showed no stick parts but showed he had a slightly enlarged heart. The vet said it would probably never cause him a problem and he would live to a ripe old age but it worries me.
He has this grunt. I was worried at first that it was a collapsed trachea because the first Yorkie I ever had suffered from that. She lived to be almost 18 so it obviously didn't hurt her much, and both vets have now said Angus doesn't have any trachea problems, etc. and they don't even think the heart causes his grunt. I don't know. Maybe he's part piglet.
Thank you all for your support and prayers on Monday. I know I'm just a worry wort. It does help to have emotional support. |
