Of course some people had bad experiences, it happens with everything. But I believe dogs need a chance to be able to chew and I think bully sticks and Himalayan chews are a much safer option than rawhides and some other things that are available in pet stores. There's even been complaints about nylabones so our options would be pretty limited if we didn't use everything that someone complained about, ya know? But it's definitely good to know the risks... I know you weren't trying to be like "No bully sticks!!"
