Hi there, thank you so much for the well wishes. I never really thought it was food to begin with. My parents are so good with him and what they give him, so I didnt believe that was it. The docs and I believe that he must have ingested some plant/tree fertilizer. The city started this plant 1 million trees in NY in Jan 11 and they have been cutting up sidewalks to plant these trees. So around the end of Jan they planted trees on my block and because of all the snow since then the wood chips or whatever they put on there it was all dead so the week I was away, city workers came and put fertilizer on all the trees. I found out that Friday (the same day Maxi started getting sick) was the same day that they put that down on the trees on my block (the one right in front of my house which Maxi likes to play in).
Needless to say, I am going to write my congressman and the city officials in charge of this project a nasty letter, although I doubt they will do anything about it. Now that I know, I wont let him play by the trees anymore and I plan on covering the soil from the tree in front of my house with bricks or something similar.
