I did get to see the other side of my argument though. When discussing the frustrations of trying to fly with my yorkies, a lady in our group of College parents said she is surprised that they allow dogs to fly in the cabin at all. She said her son is so allergic that if that happened, he would have to get off the plane. Just being in the same room will have him broken out in hives and experiencing breathing difficulties. I did not realize some were that allergic. I told her my yorkies were not allergic for most people who have canine allergies. But the idea definately got her worrying and concerned and she did not seem comforted by my claim of non-allergenic dogs. She said she would find out before he flew the next time if there was a way to be notified in advance if a dog was going to be aboard. I can see if he would have a violdent reaction in the same room, the recirculated air in an airplane might be a problem. Still, I think they would use hepa filters so that might help.

I get to thinking of my pups as such loving additions that I think ANYONE would love them too! I guess that is not quite the case. We do have to be cognizant of the people who do not like dogs are worse, are so allergic.
