[Sammy Mommy]

Sammy went to the vet for his physical. She said he looked good for his age and his health concerns. The vet called two days later with his blood results and he is having renal failure. His BUN is 136, creatanine (spelling?) is 2.6 and he has bacteria in the urine so he is on an antibiotic called Orbax. There is no protein, or sugar or blood in the urine. She also put him on vitamins (she said B vitamins are good for this), Omega fatty 3, and changed his food to k/d (which he likes). She said he looks so good compared to his results and asked is he eating and is he vomiting. He is eating very well and no vomiting. She also said to keep Pepcid on hand if he should need it - 1/4 tab once a day. She will do a follow up urine test in 2 weeks and go from there. I am so upset and have been crying since Friday. My little baby Sammy looks so good, I can't believe this is happenning. He is a tough little boy. I just love him so much, I'm crying just writing this. My baby will be 13 in June (my little teenager!!!). Please keep my Sammy in your prayers. Thank you so much.
