Default Retained Baby Canines

I took Riley into the vet a couple weeks ago for a nail trim and when the technician came back out with him, she said the Vet had noticed Riley is retaining his baby upper canines...... and that they are going to need to be removed. He is 10-months old, now.

I had him neutered at exactly 6-months and when I had picked him up the vet told me at that time that he was retaining a couple of teeth but she did not remove them at that time with hopes of them falling out on their own. I made an appointment to take him in tomorrow to have this done. It is $33 per tooth and they quoted me between $200 & $457. I was a bit upset that she did not remove them at the time of his neuter and Hate the thought of him having to go under again and then the discomfort he is going to have to deal with, after. They are going to send me home with pain killers. I have to drop him off between 7 & 8 in the morning and pick him up around 5 or 6 tomorrow night. I am taking off Tuesday to hang with him.

I am getting a bit nervous to say the least!!!!

Who has had this done and how did your pups come through??
