I leave Hercules' harness on all day b/c I'm potty training and I need to be able to rush him outside at any minute and don't always have time to put it on him before he has an accident. I do take it off at bedtime. He uses a potty pad at night. But I don't crate him. If he is going to be home without me, which isn't very often, he spends that time in a play pen with a puppy pad.
