I am retired and thankful I do not have to compete in this job market. No advice but I just wanted to wish you well and say congrats for getting 2 interviews lined up in one day! Keep at it and I'm sure you will find something. Many jobsa have found they can low-ball folks during a rough economy. Starting pays may be well under what you are used to but they may be willing to step up the raises when they see your performance. If you see a job you like except for pay, don't be afraid to ask about that possibility. Might be worth it to tell them you are willing to accept a lower starting pay if they are willing to re-evaluate at regular intervals to bring you up to what you are used to earning and what you are worth. Sometimes people are afraid to talk money -- don't be. It is a very important factor in accepting or declining a job. Showing you are confident enough to discuss it may be another plus for you.
