I have only had one do in my life, the male yorkie I have now. My experience with him was/is what was said above. He was a year old when I got him. He marked a lot when he first came home (my guess is he was allowed to do so indoors) and he wasn't neutered. I had him neutered, he's trained not to mark indoors, (that took about 2 months) and he was easy to switch from strictly outdoor potty to using piddle pads in a matter of 2 weeks. consistency really was what helped with him. I also love that he loves to cuddle and be near me.
