I'm sorry, didn't mean to alarm you. I don't think you have anything to worry about if your kids do well with the coupler so far. In my boys' case, Max would probably drag Teddy down to the ground. They often walk cheek to cheek like a team of wagon horses, but there are times when Max barks at a passing dog and walks on his hind feet. It would not be good to have Teddy hooked up to him.

It's all a matter of knowing your dogs' walking habits. If they aren't the kind to get overly excited and pull at anything, no worries.
