Be careful to watch the older one for injuries. We had an older large dog and got a large dog puppy. The older dog patiently endured all the pup's nonsense to the point that the puppy actually tore the older guy's ear and we had to have it stitched up. The puppy didn't mean to hurt and the older guy didn't want to hurt the puppy to defend himself. So it's not just the pup's that need protection!
