When it reached its destination, added to the message was "mailed by a rude New Yorker"

Now, from personal experience I did find one thing I heard about New Yorkers to be true - they are crazy drivers!
My New York friend scares the living daylights out of me when she drives.
We would be going down US1 and she would realize we had passed the place we wanted to be. Now if I had been driving, I would have found a place where I could turn around, but Harriet just did a U-turn right on US1 - which is a fairly busy road. She couldn't understand why I was clinging on to the door strap for dear life.
