I was not going to sand the furniture too much, just rough it up, prime it with 2 coats and then paint it. I guess I can paint it with furniture paint that is glossy so I don't need Shellac or polyurethane or anything. I have a side table that I can play with a little bit too. Its a good one too because the finish on the top of it is damaged worse than any of the other pieces I have.
