8 weeks is a minimum for other breeds (large) and in accordance with some state laws that's the all breed minimum with the exception of rescues:
small breed dogs it's 12 weeks minimum: but it could be 14...depends on the breeder and their ability to say yes now this pup is ready...read on here somewhere about a breeder who didn't send a pup home until 16 weeks old.
