Each pup is different.
One thing is for certain: she will probably be out of sorts for most of tonight and hopefully much better in the morning. I don't like to leave mine overnight because there is no one there. But....after anesthesia they can be very restless and it often makes for a sleepless night for all.
I would be unhappy to hear a pup screaming like that. I agree that the vet should be a bit more sensitive to her and to you. I hope she gave you something to give her for pain at home. The injection she gave probably only lasts for 6-8 hours.
If she did not give you anything for her for pain, call in the morning and insist on it! And, if she is still screaming, I would take her back in to be checked out. Good luck and please let us know how she is tomorrow! |
