It is not a death sentence for all CT dogs and for many can be medically managed with diet, weight loss and medications. Surgery from what I've been told is reserved for the most severe of canidates and even then...it is not a promising outcome in the survival rates.
Bella is nearly symptom free due to diet, weight loss and medications. She now is not on any medications and when I do start to hear some honking...we step up more walks, and watch her portion control.
