You are dealing with a vast array of personalities on the internet. You cannot control others' behavior, you can only dictate your own.
If you feel people are being too harsh, all you can do is try to balance it with your own comments, but you cannot stop them from expressing themselves. It is what they think, and telling them not to do something because you feel differently will probably not stop them.
