Great post Sue! I think that you hit the nail on the head with that reply. Yes, I too think that they shouldn't be thought of as anything but Yorkies, because that is where they came from, and I do think that they should be in a class all by themselves. The only thing that I see that might happen is that breeders here will start adding blue and golds to the line, I know that some still do in Germany, but I think if you do your homework in your ancestries, you can obtain lines that are far enough apart not to have to do this. They have been bred for long enough now to be able to do that. I know that this is what good breeders strive for, and God willing, in the near future we will have enough different lines over here to start a very diverse gene pool so in a few years we will have a true, color intense, Biewer that we all could be proud of. Biewers are lovely dogs and I think that they should be given a true chance to prove themselves and not be lost in bad breeding.
