I understand where the OP is coming from and when I first joined YT I felt the exact same way. I had a couple of members PM me telling me horrible stories about other members and how they treat their dogs (can't remember the names of the members now because I deleted the messages a long time ago), and I also removed my age because I felt some members were talking down to me (this changed when I removed my age).
This is a public forum and everyone is different, you cant start up a public discussion without getting mixed responses, some which you might not agree with.
But once you have been here a while you get sick of seeing the same old threads about pregnant bitches and dogs which need to see a vet ASAP but their owner wont take them, and it's hard to keep your cool at times like that. Most members here are very passionate, sometimes they come across as harsh, but we all have the dogs best interest at heart.
Once you have been here a while longer you will begin to recognise certain members and know their personality and what to expect. Some are blunt while others sugar coat advice, personally I prefer the blunt approach.
When I first joined I had a 6 week old pup and didn't have a clue, I will admit I was in the wrong and should have been more educated. I came here for advice and I got lots of it, thanks to the members here my Poppy is still alive and doing wonderfully. I don't know what I would do without YT. Yes I got some not so nice responses to some of my threads, but because I cared for Poppy and wanted the best advice and help I could get for her I stuck around, and Im glad I did.
If you don't like a certain member's personality or the way they post then simply click ignore and forget about it.
