How much does Wookie weigh currently and about how much should he weigh? Has he lost weight or has he always been underweight?
When you say you are regulate his food and water, how often does he get food and water? Restricting water can be risky. Water is needed to stay hydrated and to keep all of the vital organs healthy, especially the kidneys.
How much exercise does he get? Is he energetic, playful or lethargic?
I'm still concerned about the garage. Mine is insulated too, but very cold in winter and I am a lot farther south than you. During the summer, a dog could easily die of heatstroke. I just don't want you to experience a heartbreaking loss.
