His name is Duke, and he hasn't eaten in three, not almost four days, normally he'd eat a shoe. BIL thinks some kind of stomach ulcer. He took him to a few vets and they wanted to run lots of expensive tests, but not one of them suggested bloodwork!

The last vet, the one I take Uni to, which they are great, wanted to do all these tests that would have been over $1000! I can't believe they didn't suggest bloodwork first! BIL said he can't afford that and he would put him down, so finally the Dr prescribed flagyl and amoxicilin, and another rx I think is for ulcers.
He said he wouldn't take any of the pills, but will drink water. I told him the crush and syringe trick which is working, and I also told him about pumpkin, though he doesn't seem to want to try it. I hope he can pull through, he is only 6 years old.
PS, he is not treated like our yorkies, out in the backyard all day, bored, and bull terriers need to be stimulated. Hardly gets walked.

I suggested rescue at least, not to put him down. H'es never been spoiled in his life. At least if he gets in a rescue he will be.
