I groom Jackson myself cause I don't trust anyone with him. I am horrible at it, but I get the job done. I bathe him first and clean out his ears with ear cleaner and wipe his eyes and face, I use baby shampoo so it won't hurt his eyes. Then I wrap him in a towel and put him on the counter and trim around his eyes and head, whatever he needs at the time. Then when he is a little dry I trim the rest of his body. Really depends on the temp outside and in the house. I like to do it on warmer days. Then I take him to the bathroom and run the dryer on him, which is actually more effective when I am drying my own hair and he stands below me wanting to play in the wind, when its actually for a purpose he tends to try to run off, so, i usually let him rub on the carpet to dry himself. I do keep him kinda short so he doesn't tangle. He is still too much of a puppy to have long hair. I got a somewhat hyper one. Hope this helps. |
