I don't see how someone could be upset with the breeder. They are not going to wait forever for you to make up your mind or send the money. Fair is fair. Yorkies are in such high demand that almost everyone wants one. I know breeders get tons of phone calls every day from interested people. So, if I meet a breeder and see a puppy I am interested in, I will definitly send a deposit. Most breeders are nice enough to work with you. As long as you send some kind of money to hold your puppy, some will let you pay installments. As long as the balance is paid off before the puppy goes home. Now if I gave a breeder a deposit to hold my puppy, and she still went ahead and sold her to someone else, then I would be very upset.
