Think of it this way, it's a time for you and Callie to "bond", you can use it to play, learn new tricks, show her your love and other than just have a clean dog, it can be just plain fun. DON'T let it stress you!! Remember it's just hair, it will grow back if you screw up with the cut. You could take her to the groomers and spend $50 bucks and STILL get a crappy do. Growing hair is one of the things our babies do really well. Watch the video, look at the pics, I bought a pair of small scissors at Petco, used my old hair dryer on low, non soap type shampoo & conditioner (earthbath I think), lots of treats, loves and praise, you know, pretty baby, etc. If your worried about the toenails or the ear hair don't do it, they don't have to be done all the time, watch the ears so they don't get dirty, waxy and the toenails too long. I clean Sprockets ears w/a damp cotton ball after the bath IF he has wax. The eye gunky, just use a wet cotton ball, make the gunk soft, remove it, this part is per the vet. And the toenails, when Sprocket goes into the vet They trim them, like once or twice a year. Sorry this was so long. Mostly Have Fun.
