A similar situation happened to us. Two summers ago, my parents and I were going to Branson, MO for a week for summer vacation. We had a dilemma about where to leave Lacey. Because we could not bring her to Branson with us. We decided not to leave her at a kennel because the only time we ever left her at a kennel, she grieved terribly for us. And almost starved because she would not eat. So, we decided to leave her at my nanny's house. My nanny has cats. I put Lacey down on the floor to see if it would work out. And the cat hissed at her and took a swat at her. So, I immediatly picked my baby up and said no way. I could not worry a whole week in Branson and worry about the cat seriously hurting her. So, we left Lacey at the house because we had no other choice. And my nanny came by twice a day to feed her, change her paper, give her some water and attention. My brother was in and out checking on her too.
