I didn't think the proper protocol was for the buyer to out right offer one first
I had no idea that she was discussing the sale of this boy with another prospective buyer (she mentioned nothing of the sort). At no point during our conversations, did I ever give her the impression that I might not be interested, so I just don't understand why she would go ahead and accept a deposit from someone else. It was like she sold him from right under my nose One day we were discussing arrangements of how/where I would pick up the puppy, and then the very next day she says "I'm so sorry, he's already been sold"! |
I'm really sorry you took offense that Brenda sold her pup to what she felt was the best potential home. I personally know of many breeders who will talk with several prospective buyers and even take a deposit on a pup - yet if another comes along whom they feel is a better home for their pup, they will refund a deposit and sell to the other home. IMHO I feel this makes her a breeder who very much cares about where her pups go than just getting the almightly $ and I would rather buy from someone like this.
I can't help but feel you are posting this for the sake of drama since this happened in 2007 and Breny has sold several pups here and other places since then.
