I quit cold turkey 11-19-88 but quickly got a treadmill and when I would start wanting to smoke, I would get on the thing and walk until all I wanted to do was b-r-e-a-t-h-e. The more air the better! Ha! Last thing I wanted after I got off that thing was a cigaratte! The first 3 weeks were bad but can you distract yourself by using the urge to ,instead, exercise, teach your Yorkie a new trick or anything that you quickly replace the urge to smoke with. Perhaps a diet drink or big glass of water. If you can just replace that urge with another good habit(ok, diet drink not a good habit), B4 long, the desire to smoke gets less and leaves. Alot of successful "stoppers" said they replaced the urge with something else for a while to get past the bad time. I smoked for 10 years B4 I got wise to how dirty and silly it was and - not cool.

If you haven't smoked in 2 weeks, think how much better your lungs feel inside and how pink they must be getting.
