Is there really such a thing as a painful microchip?

Seems a myth thus far...

Removing one would be quite some feet...

True Story...

At the pound a dog came in (stray got out the yard) and actually had two microchips! 1 registered to a breeder and 1 to a private party...

Apparently the dog had been chipped, and the dog was re-chipped with a second chip by the new owner at the vets...the remedy because removing is almost all but unheard of was to have both chips updated to the correct owner...

So this tiny tiny I mean tiny dog like 2 lbs had two chips..not a single issue...the chips were even next to each other...

I'm still considering tattooing on top of chips also...
