Confusion!! I was going to go with the norm and prob do it at 6 months. My vet said as soon as he hits 4 months I should think about it, but I am always figuring things out for my boys on my own.

It is confusing. Definitely want to prevent marking. I suppose it comes down to the individual dog, since they develop at different rates and they exhibit behaviors at different times. Teddy had not started marking or leg lifting at 7 months. Max was a leg lifter from 12 weeks of age, but he did not mark.
I think I would be prepared for neutering at 6 months, but I would push it a few weeks more if possible.
