Hi, It sounds to me as if Tike wanted your undivided attention and was trying his luck! My Yorkie sometimes decides he wants to go into the garden and look for foxes at odd hours during the night, I used to relent and get up 3 or 4 times to let him out. Now I just ignore him and eventually he comes back to bed (he sleeps with me, very spoilt dog I'm afraid) Tike may have been excited still from his training class and was raring to go but don't worry I'm sure you haven't hurt him in anyway, he sounds as if he is much loved.
