A BB gun shooting can get you in big trouble...despite defending your dogs on your own property...defending yourself or your dog etc isn't cruel- paintball gun might be better option too-it definitely won't penetrate skin,lets it be known where and in general the dog was hit. I got to keep this post hush hush from my DH. If he knew that you proposed a paintball gun in lieu of a BB gun, I could just see now what he would pull up the driveway with. OMG...LOL
I think the sound of pumping the BB gun has become more of a "scare noise" than anything else. I never posted that I was a good shot....
