Maybe this woman doesn't know any better but if you will research it you will find that most good Yorkie breeders don't let their puppies go to their new homes until around 12 weeks old, they just are not ready at that young of an age. Do a search here on YT and find the threads speaking about puppies who don't have any bite inhibition, don't know how to play with other dogs, get hypoglycemic and other problems. These puppies usually are let go too young and not kept with momma until 12 weeks old. Good luck with your new family member.

Good answers. OP, I know you're really excited since you will be turning 16 and getting a new puppy soon, but you have to take a step back and see the bigger picture. What's the most important thing to you right now, getting a "cheap" dog; getting a dog on or near your birthday; or getting a happy healthy new member of the family?
From the limited information you shared with us, I would not purchase from the last two breeders you met. Breeders do not let anyone near their babies when they are 1 week old and the potential of bacteria being so high. Babies at 1 week old should not be handled very much. Another thing, $800 for a ckc (continental) is way overpriced since the ckc can't guarantee the dog is a purebred.
I would seriously consider the first breeder. That doesn't mean sign a check in that breeders name, you still have a lot of research to do.
