Looking back over this thread, I'm disappointed in my response. I got caught up in the alpha-roll thing and forgot my own advice: teach an alternate behavior. No C/T for me!
D4nimal - you may not still be keeping up with this thread, but if you are, it seems to me that Yoshi has 2 problem areas. Both of these are correctable.
The first is object guarding. Here is a link to a good description of how best to help Yoshi get over this:
