Sophie Kate is both pee pad and outside trained using the pee pad only in the case of emergency.

The first thing I did was train her outside and the command "go potty", everytime she went I would say "go potty" and when she did it was a major celebration complete with training treats, kisses and cheers.

Once we got that mastered we moved on to the pad, I would put her on the pad and say "go potty" - did it click right away? No!!! I just kept up and was consistant.

I tried every method of potty training and the best was getting her on a schedule and sticking to the schedule. Sophie Kate is crate trained, I found that worked best, everytime she comes out of the crate the first thing we did was go outside and go potty (we still do that).
