Dixie just turned 3 and I got her two weeks ago. She was a kennel dog just as Daisy was and is very shy and timid. She is coming out of her shell more and more every day though. You can tell that she wants to play, and will forget herself for a minute and go chase the ball, but then will catch herself and stop like she thinks she'll get in trouble. She does play bow and stomp her feet in an impish way and wiggles that cute little butt with a toothy smile on her face, but when you respond with playfulness she gets all serious. I think we just have to teach them how to play and that it's ok and fun. |
