Vomiting, no other sx's My husband opened Veruca's crate this morning to find she had vomited sometime overnight (the sticky stain was on her bed). She also vomited bile (3x's about a quarter sized amount) one full week ago. She has had no diarrhea, lethargy, or other sx. Her eyes are clear, she is barking, playing with her toys, and her stomach is not painful to palpation. She is eating and drinking normally.
Last week I called the vet and they told me to watch her to make sure she drank water and to give her a dose of an anti-emetic that they previously prescribed (when she ate part of a flip flop!) I did that and she was fine. But now she vomited again.
Am I over-reacting? Do other yorkies randomly throw up and act completely normal. I truly do not think she ate any foreign objects this time, but I am concerned about her. My husband and I both have colds (without vomiting) and I gave her the last teaspoon of chicken broth from my bowl last night at 5pm. Could it have made her vomit sometime after 2am? Thanks for the advice. |
