This is a great topic, I think they should make it a law to have an animal restrained or in a carrier.I always have mine restrained in a car seat, all 4 of them have their own seat. I often see people with their pets in their laps and running around the car,and wonder what are people thinking. Of course people will also let their children run around the car without a seat belt. I am terrified that I would cause an accident because I was trying to get my dog out of my lap. Of course years ago I would let my Cairn terrier lay in my lap and not think anything about it, but I guess I might have got a little smarter. In Georgia we have seat belt laws and no texting or talking if you are under 18, and no texting for everyone, but people do it anyway. So sorry about the loss of your little Lola, this had to be a terrible time for you.
