Bottom line, the internet or a 1-800 phone number is NO substitute for a hands on examination by a licensed vet.

BTW -Insurance fraud is when you knowingly withhold information from the company. They can make a case for preexisting conditions based upon the fact that the dog was seen for a problem and that a REASONABLE person would be aware that a problem existed or had the potential to exist, even if it wasn't formally diagnosed.
She had a licensed vet that didn't make a formal diagnosis. He doesn't know what is wrong, if anything. I don't think that would be insurance "fraud" at this point. She's had it checked out. The vet "no, can, do". What's fraudulent about getting back on the insurance? The insurance company will have access to the records, including the examination done by this vet. She wouldn't be hiding anything. I didn't advise her to hide anything. I just suggested to her that maybe she should reconsider getting back on her pet insurance. Maybe they would be able to cover anything that would come up in the future. Maybe.....maybe not. I don't know.
