I am a worry wart and my dogs incision area is horribly bruised in my opinion. I sent this pic to my friend who has had 3 dogs neutered and spayed and she said hers looked nothing like this. Also, I am confused as to why the incision is so close to his penis? I thought it was supposed to be closer to the testicles?

I did call the vet and they didn't think it was necessary to come in. They said bruising is normal.

*Also, they did not have an e collar on him because they said he wasn't licking. When we got home, he started to lick and I know he did it at the vet as well, they must have just walked in and out briefly because I warned them that he normally licks himself. Could this have caused the bruising?*
