That's what everyone thinks. Golden's have moved up on the bite list every year.
Pits have this terrible reputation yet Goldens have this "gentle family dog" reputation, but it just goes to show you how stereotypes and the media can lead a person to believe certain things.
And another reason why ban legislation just does
not work! Pugs are the on the list for crying out loud. Imagine being told you were banned from living in a certain place just because you had a Yorkie. That's why I always hate to hear people saying on this forum that Pits need to be banned!!! You can't just ban a whole breed, otherwise they can start to do it with every breed.
PS - I love Goldens and grew up with one. Nothing against them. But again, since they are a popular breed, more and more people are breeding them for greedy reasons thus ruining another breed. It's so sad
