The entire story is very sad but at the same time the US kills MILLIONS of dogs ever year.......M I L L I O N S! Let's not forget dog that are bred for fighting, bait or animals that are used laboratory testing. Personally I find it all horrific. I cannot even begin to find an alternate solution. If the US cannot figure out how to control the pet overpopulation problems how are we to point of finger at a country like Kyrgyzstan? The US allows mass gassing chambers and heart sticks to euthanize puppies, kittens, dogs and cats. Do you realize that they use a large box and pump is the gas as the poor animals claw at the walls of the box to try to escape their fate? Heart sticks are done with a needle poked into the heart of the animal to cause death but some times their target is off. All the while the animals are fighting to get away from their death. I need to stop as just the thought of this makes me sick to my stomach. Hopefully when the shooters take aim they are looking to make a quick and clean kill.
Then they need to begin to address the problem with neuter and spay. Which seems to be overlooked if they are back a number that is double from the previous year.
