It works for me, I think again my buddy Rachael Ray taught me this (I consider Rachael and Paula Deen two my BFF's).
That's how I do it too. I always remove mine with a slotted spoon to a bowl of ICE water. The only time I have a problem is when I use Eggland's Best eggs. For some reason they are near impossible to peel no matter what technique is used.
