This is pretty much the same way I cook hard boiled eggs. I used other methods for years and never liked the results. A year or so ago, I read about this method and it works perfect every time!!
The only difference is my instructions said after placing the eggs in boiling water, return to boil and set a timer for 12 minutes. It takes a minute or so for the water to return to a boil, so I bet your 14 minute instructions take that into account.

lol....milk to cereal....you'll need an expert for that one

....I just know, don't pour the milk until you're ready to eat....soggy cereal is just YUCK!
