This is pretty much the same way I cook hard boiled eggs. I used other methods for years and never liked the results. A year or so ago, I read about this method and it works perfect every time!!

The only difference is my instructions said after placing the eggs in boiling water, return to boil and set a timer for 12 minutes. It takes a minute or so for the water to return to a boil, so I bet your 14 minute instructions take that into account.

Don't know if it makes a difference, but I have gas

lol....milk to cereal....you'll need an expert for that one....I just know, don't pour the milk until you're ready to eat....soggy cereal is just YUCK!
