Really, I *can* cook a little...I really can

I've looked up many times on the net for the 'best way to make hard boiled eggs' - and they all say something different. I've tried a bunch of different methods, but they never turn out quite the way I want.
When I boil mine, the shell always sticks like I boiled it in super glue and/or the shell only comes off in these teensy little sections....rather than a nice big peel. Also, I feel like the inside yolk is sometimes kinda weird looking.
Does anyone have a tried and true method for this urgent dilemma?
