I have decided he can stay. The breeders told Josh they would definitely take him back if we felt it was too much or saw it would not work with the girls. When we told them we were keeping him, we were told the offer still stands. We start puppy obedience in March. I am excited but nervous, no idea why? I guess the fear of having the only dog in class that just don't get it. lol

This first week has been very, um, intersting. I have almost lost my husband to the couch and Ernie at night. The girls and I have sorta enjoyed the extra room in bed. lol Overall, he has been very well behaved and tries to play nice with the girls, he just doesn't realize how big he is.

In the week he has been here, we have yet to hear him growl or show any temper problem. In the weeks prior to bringing him home, Josh had visited and watched him with his brothers and sisters and interacting with his mother. Thank goodness she did a wonderful job taking care of most of the puppy behaviors that can be an aggravation. (nipping, biting, eating manners) Another case where staying with the mom and siblings proves beneficial.

His parents have wonderful temperments with people and other dogs. I know this comes from the work of their owners: training and TONS of socialization. We live in an area has no pet friendly facilities. I look forward to making the weekly trips to Knoxville for class and plan to visit pet stores each trip.
