Jackpot is not just a well bred Yorkie, he is a true terrier in spirit. Acts self important and shows off...what more can a breeder do to turn a judges favor to them..?
I am not a Peke hater, but I do not get it...the dog shows no animation or reacts to nothing...perhaps that is the standard..."dead pan face"..I realize a Peke is not suppose to act like a Yorkie or a Yorkie like a Peke...
I would love to shave that Peke down and see what is so fabulous under the coat to make a judge pick it... |
Well the Peke is just about diametrically opposite to the Yorkie. The Yorkie was bred to move fast and quickly, to dig, to be fearless, and tenacious after those pesky vermin. The Peke, was bred to be a lapdog, in fact they weren't supposed to be able to move well at all, they were meant for royalty to stay close by and not to wander far. The Peke is I think the top Peke in the country with many BIS wins (78) looking at this Peke it by far moved better than any Peke I had seen so far. The judge picked up to feel weight and chest girth. Guess it was okay.
But for the Yorkie not to even place in Group is a true shame.
